Bright colored pictures and bright happy felines are the highlight of this fun little cat adventure book, from Captain Bullpuss with his eye-patch to Tigtoes and his amusingly-named prickly friend Hedgedog (who eats juicy fat brown slugs). Watch out for the "layer each of mouse, shrew and vole all tucked up in a freshly toasted bun," and don't forget to say "Please" when you want some milk.Some formatting issues and conversion glitches from print to kindle made this book a slightly awkward read on my machine (though it may be fine on others). Still, the pictures are very enjoyable and tell the story with amusing expressions, fun dialog, and plenty of neat ideas.

The witty dialogue, clever illustrations, and humorous tale of Mopprag, Squimps, and the Bullpuss in the garden with a hedgehog, and the story of Young Mistress learning her manners, makes this book of Tales #2 & #3 in the Louisa's Ginger Nuts series, another delightful read for the young and young-at-heart.
There's a lot of good things going on in these 2 stories.
1.I love the names of the characters. They are fun and different and kids are sure to remember them!
2.The drawings are whimsical and add a nice layer to the stories.
3.The development of the characters in the first story is well developed.
It's nice to see the author has a solid plan to bring more and more of these stories to young readers.
