If you are on a tight schedule this book will help in your travels. For those who've never visited Chiang Mai and for those who have lived or visited there, this is a good way to enjoy some sites that you wouldn't normally see or do.It's not normal to visit and see elephant poo be made in to paper, or to sneak away in to a private spa that feels like it's your own. This book presents these activities and gives the intimacy that you have your own tour guide. The details are precise and it's hard to get lost with such detail given to the maps.
If you're pressed for time you won't have to worry about that with this book. I like how it shows the time that can be spent at each place.

3 days in Chiang Mai a complete itinerary to Northern Thailand biggest city eBook Chris Backe Reviews
Nice guide for a short visit - helps to focus. The other option is to wander around in old town and get surprised after each corner. Alternative plan was good option.
I went to Thailand about 4 months ago, but i never made it to Chiang Mai. This book gave me so many great ideas about what do and places to go. I like easy research for my travels and this book is an excellent source for my travel planning!
I have never been to Chiang Mai, but this book gave so many ideas what do, and I really appreciated the small details this book has, also in the terms what to expect even on terms like wifi etc. If you want to do easy research, and have limited time to visit Chiang Mai, I think this book is excellent help for your travel planning!
Having spent about ten days in Chiang Mai back in 2012, I thought I had a pretty good grasp on things to see and do in the city. However, the author has come up with a ton of amazing sites that you certainly won’t find in your guidebook. Some of my favorite finds in this itinerary are an insect museum, a mini-golf course, and a rarely visited royal mansion.
This guidebook does a great job of getting you to many of the top sites in Chiang Mai, along with some out of the way places, but it’s far from a complete listing of the amazing things to do in and around the city. It might be worth spending a few extra days in Chiang Mai to experience some of the other attractions and sites that catch your eye.
However, if you want an itinerary that allows you to see a good combination of well-known and hidden sites, this is the guidebook for you.
Note You will need to rent a car, scooter, or driver in order to complete about half of this itinerary.
If you are on a tight schedule this book will help in your travels. For those who've never visited Chiang Mai and for those who have lived or visited there, this is a good way to enjoy some sites that you wouldn't normally see or do.
